Why we started the Cyber Leaders Council

Where it all began
The Cyber Leaders Council is founded and hosted by RiverSafe, a professional services organisation that works with cyber and technology teams across industries.
We created the Council because we saw leaders facing similar challenges, making similar decisions, and looking for trusted peers to compare notes with. While we could connect people one-to-one, we knew there was greater value in bringing them together. The Council was founded to do just that: to create a space where leaders can share experiences, learn from one another, and build lasting relationships.
Our Guiding Principles
Strictly non- commercial
The Council isn’t about selling, it’s about creating a trusted, independent space where conversations are open and candid.
Chatham House rules
Notes from each meeting are shared with members, but never attributed, so ideas can flow freely.
Small, focused gatherings
Each meet-up is deliberately kept to an intimate group, making it easy to have real, valuable conversations.
Member-led topics
Every event centres on themes chosen by the community, ensuring discussions are relevant and useful.
